Reflection

From a modeling standpoint the greatest challenges were interpreting and maintaining proportions, and designing everything to be modular. Due to the camera angle of most of the available reference it was difficult to get the correct dimensions. This is is most apparent in the base level of the building. Modular design is always a challenge as parts often have to be remade several times in order to fit together properly. This particular building had a small level of extra difficulty due to it being built on a 60 degree corner. Fortunately that was mitigated by the use of "snap to vertex" within the unreal engine.

Final Product

Finally, we have some beauty shots of our scene.

Assembly

Nathan assembled the final scene. Here we have included images of this process.

Texturing

Most of the props were textured in Substance Painter. The signs were done in Photoshop.

Modelling Process

Nathan was our primary modeler for this assignment. He did the entirety of our main building.

Jessica did extra bits and pieces, such as signs, lightposts, and sidewalk.

Concept

For our street corner we have chosen to do the building at the corner of Prince and Salem St in Boston, MA.
